2026 Fundraising Results
Every dollar the Liberty PTO raises has one job: making the school day richer for our students and our teachers. This year, thanks to Liberty families, local businesses and community partners, we raised $41,868. Here's where that money went.
Where it went
About 92 cents of every dollar spent went straight to students, teachers and school events. Administrative costs (insurance, supplies, maintenance, fees) came to less than 8% of spending. That's because this PTO is run entirely by volunteers.
Classrooms and programs: $20,355. This was the biggest share of our spending, about 61%, and it went directly into the school:
- Teachers: classroom funds, staff appreciation, and conference and curriculum night support
- Music: our biggest program investment this year [add what was purchased, e.g. instruments or equipment]
- Art, PE and the nurse's office: supplies that stretch school budgets further
- Whole-school experiences: assemblies, including 6th grade promotion, and student datebooks for grades 3 through 6
- Principal's discretionary fund: flexible support for needs as they come up during the year
- School spirit: new Liberty t-shirts and the tie-dye event, fully funded by our sponsors
Community events: $10,441. Some of the best memories at Liberty happen outside the classroom. The PTO funded the Carnival, Field and Fun Days, school event nights, the Book Fair and a welcome for our incoming kindergarten families. These events bring families together and make Liberty feel like a community, not just a school.
Powered by our community
This year's support came from all over Liberty:
- Step It Up was once again our biggest fundraiser, raising more than $14,000 thanks to our students and the families who cheered them on.
- Community donations and grants came in about 28% over our goal, at $8,300.
- Restaurant nights raised almost $3,900, also beating our goal. Every family dinner out made a difference.
- The Carnival, Silent Auction, Book Fair and Penguin Patch raised more than $15,000 combined.
To our sponsors
Your support pays for things students can see and feel: the shirts they wear to spirit days, the instruments in the music room, the supplies in their classrooms and the events their families remember. Thank you for investing in Liberty.
Looking ahead
We're starting next year in a strong position, with money set aside to keep supporting teachers and programs from the first day of school. We'd love to have more families involved, whether that's volunteering at one event, coming to a PTO meeting or sharing ideas.
Thank you, Liberty. You made this year possible.
